Course Description

Join Joshua Press this July for five days of landscape painting in the beautiful surroundings of Rignana Estate.

The workshop will begin with an introductory lecture on landscape painting, followed by four hours of daily tuition. Each day will conclude with a group critique of the work produced during the session.

​This workshop will focus primarily on the pursuit of colour within the Italian landscape. Students will be introduced to fundamental ideas for composing paintings outdoors, including the practice of drawing with a brush.

Joshua Press is a figurative painter based in London. He is represented by Galerie Grégoire Mercier in Paris. He is a founding member of the Hampstead Art Society and regularly serves on its judging panel. He also runs the North London Group, an art school based in London and online.
